What can I say about Ruth?
She was the first Icon I painted, and she inspired the entire series.
She is an Icon in the way I originally visualized the concept. She is a true pioneer; a person of such amazing accomplishment and character. A person who, though absolutely mortal, accomplished incredible things and made life better for all of us.
There is nothing I can add to all the tributes that have been given. But from the bottom of my heart, I thank you, Ruth. Your life was, and continues to be, a blessing, and your legacy will keep you alive forever in our hearts.
